CORE PRINCIPLES

For Below Zero Marketing building responsible and sustainable long-term relationships with our suppliers,  clients and employees is a key priority. Below Zero Marketing is focused in minimizing environmental and social impacts of our business through analysis, evaluation of risks and good judgment.  Since Below Zero Marketing is an intermediary between the factories and our clients, we  aim to build relationships with suppliers that take a similar responsible approach towards the environment, society and corporate governance.

This approach will provide employment and generate economic benefit in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.

Our Core Principles are based in some of the principles of UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT:

• Does not participate in any forms of child, forced or compulsory labor

• Respect the protection of human rights

• Does not discriminate in respect to employment

• Supports a precautionary approach to environmental challenges

• Encourages the development of environmentally friendly promotional products

• Does not participate in  any form of bribery and corruption


ENVIRONMENTAL

Offering and suggesting when possible  products to our customers that have a responsible approach to the consumer and to the environment

Additional to our offering we must always present additional products to our customers that have the REUSABLE, RECYCLABLE, ECO FRIENDLY, SUSTANAIBLE MERCHANDISE labels.

Our environmental approach have 2 pillars:

The product responsibility pillar focuses on regulatory compliance of the product we offer to our customer as well as product safety. For custom made products,  we need to start in the  concept stage, it is critical to know what the regulations are that product must comply with, and also to assess the product for potential consumer use and functionality issues. The requirements and best practices of this pillar are achievable through testing, production controls and knowledge of the product and its material composition. Also we focus in learning regulatory compliance in the US and Europe since many of our custom made products are shipped to Europe.  When the product is a generic one sold by any of the distributors we require the product and material sheets and specs to make sure the materials and product are in compliance.

The environmental responsibility pillar focuses on identifying and mitigating the impacts of the materials and supply chain (factories we use)  as  well as our  business’s operations on both the built and natural environment. This pillar is achievable through our operational and sourcing objectives that align to our core values and we have adopted standards for the quality and safety of the products we sell, and we are committed assuring that our manufacturing processes respect the rights of individuals and protect the environment as low-impact manufacturing, emissions reduction and the restricted use of hazardous substances or chemicals of high concern.

Within the promotion items industry this pillar is challenging to prioritize and implement since our customers require because of budget and strategy products that consist of plastic materials that may have an environmental footprint but our responsibility is to inform our customers and make additional proposals of eco friendly products for their evaluation.


SOCIAL

Below Zero Marketing  recognizes that social interaction based on mutual respect and understanding and a health-promoting environment not only foster employee satisfaction and creativity, but also lead to economic and sustainable corporate success.

The social responsibility pillar

We cultivate a corporate culture that promotes sustainable living and working models. Our employees are given strong impetus to internalize the importance of sustainable action at both the corporate and personal level. Further, we constantly strive to ensure responsible working conditions of health and safety of our supplier’s  employees and we make sure our factories do not employ any form of child, forced or compulsory labor.

We conduct factory audits and visits specially in Asia and Latin America where we make the factory assessments and compliance reports to make sure of good working conditions of our partner factory’s employees.

We expect those suppliers to implement procedures to ensure continual compliance and will open their factories and records for audits by our company’s staff or qualified third-party organizations.  Also we encourage our factories to obtain and maintain the SEDEX certification to became then preferred suppliers of our supplier network.

Below Zero Marketing is committed to achieving high standards of corporate governance as well as conducting business in ethically responsible manner.  This includes complying with relevant legal requirements and regulations and ta laws  in the countries we operate  We regard our responsible business practices as the basis for securing economic sustainability as well as fostering sustainable, long-term relationships.

BelowZero Marketing LLC has established an Anti-bribery and Corruption Code

Which focus in a great  commitment following the highest standards of business conduct, compliance with the law and best practice. For that purpose this Anti-Corruption Code has been developed to aid Below Zero Marketing employees, agents, contractors, consultants and partners to ensure that they comply at all times with applicable anti-corruption laws and policies.
